National Apprenticeship Week

It’s National Apprenticeship Week! To celebrate, we’d like to share Chloé’s experience as a Digital Marketing Apprentice at Bondline.

Chloé has been an apprentice at Bondline for 1 year and 4 months and is currently in the last stages of finalising her apprenticeship. She has been a vital part of our team, helping to manage and maintain our website, social media channels and email campaigns and produce all of our creative content.

As a small business, having the additional assistance of an apprentice is a cost effective way to deal with the daily workload. However, the most beneficial aspect of having an apprentice is that in order to provide a business teaching environment, it has necessitated the need to undertake a thorough examination of all our business practices. This was long overdue and has been a great benefit to our apprentice as well as the business going forward. – Victoria Blizzard, Director.

Here’s what Chloé had to say about her role as a Digital Marketing Apprentice

Being an apprentice has been an exciting experience for me which has presented many fantastic opportunities alongside it. I’ve met some great people along the way and have been provided with excellent support from both New College Swindon and Bondline.

Rather than pursuing a degree at university in a career I may choose not to do in later life, I decided that an apprenticeship would be the most ideal route to excel in a Digital Marketing profession and allow me to gain all of the necessary qualifications I required. I knew that I wanted to have a career within the creative sector and, after reviewing the different types of jobs in the creative industry, I discovered that Digital Marketing combined everything that I was passionate about – design, communication and advertising.

Despite having previously acquired creative, writing and communication skills during my A-Levels, I knew that these skills alone were not enough and that I required additional skills such as SEO, PPC, coding, HTML and more. An apprenticeship allowed me to gain these additional skills whilst improving and enhancing the skills I already had.

Not only has an apprenticeship allowed me to gain many key qualifications and earn a wage at the same time, but provided me with valuable practical experience that has enabled me to grow my confidence, build a successful portfolio of work and expand on my skills – all in a short space of time! Since working at Bondline, I’ve been able to gain a greater understanding of the ESD industry, an industry I hadn’t really known about before, and learn about all of the products they sell.

Since nearing the end of my apprenticeship, I have been offered a full-time Digital Marketing role at Bondline. I am excited to develop my career as a Digital Marketer at Bondline and further develop my knowledge and understanding about ESD and Digital Marketing.” – Chloé Warlow, Digital Marketing Apprentice.
